From practical skills like personal finance to boundless explorations in biology and chemistry, our Math and Science department offers new discoveries everyday. Whether preparing for college or to enter the workforce, these courses help students learn how to solve problems, think critically and improve their ability to be flexible and adaptable in everyday life.

Our Math program offers courses such as algebra, geometry, consumer math, personal finance, resource assistance for remediation (SOL’s) and the needs of more advanced students while our Science classes include environmental science, biology and physical science, complete with a yearly science fair. Fostering both a passion for discovery and a sensible understanding of how things work, math and science are important components of the Northstar education.
